Initial Assessment

These are typically booked, following a free phone consultation to determine assessment needs. Assessments for preschoolers are usually up to 1.5 hours. Assessments for primary school children are usually 2-2.5 hours. Reports are included in the Initial Assessment package unless otherwise requested.
Face to Face
Sessions are booked following a phone consultation and relevant case history, consent, terms and conditions and privacy policy documents sent via email. Assessments may be conducted at home, school or nursery. Parents need to be present for the assessment. Feedback will be given at the end of the assessment session and options for intervention discussed if indicated.
Teletherapy
Sessions are booked following a phone consultation and relevant case history, consent, terms and conditions and privacy policy documents sent via email. Also included is the Zoom link. For preschoolers, parents will be sent a list of home videos to be taken and sent securely to the SLT before the assessment appointment. These, along with the case history information, relevant reports, parent interview, liaison with relevant professionals and some direct interaction with the child via Zoom (if appropriate), will form the basis of the assessment. Feedback will be given at the end of the assessment session and options for intervention discussed if indicated.
Review Assessment

These are likely to occur after 6 or 12 months, at points of transition (such as transition to primary or secondary school) or to support EHCP application, to offer second opinions and specialist advice, and vary in length depending on the age of the child and their assessment needs. These do not include a report but one can be written should it be required.
Therapy

Sessions are typically booked in blocks of 8 weekly sessions but this is flexible and needs-led. The first session typically involves target setting with caregivers and/or key education staff and the final session involves target evaluation.
Face to Face
Sessions may be delivered at home, in nurseries or school depending on the needs of the child. Sessions may be 30-60 minutes in duration, and offered flexibly i.e. weekly, fortnightly or monthly according to need.
Teletherapy
Sessions may be delivered at home, in nurseries or school depending on the needs of the child. Sessions may be 30-60 minutes in duration, and offered flexibly i.e. weekly, fortnightly or monthly according to need. Teletherapy sessions for preschoolers rarely involve them sitting up at the computer (phew!). These tend to follow the same intervention methods as those used in face-to-face sessions with this population e.g. use of video.
